Momservation: If we didn’t look back we wouldn’t be able to see how far we’ve come.
☺ ☺ ☺
Well another year has flown by and, amazingly, no one has won the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot. According to Texas Lottery Commission, nearly 86% of all possible Powerball combinations have been played so far, hours before tonight’s drawing.
That means someone is likely to win it tonight. But ya’ll go ahead and get your work clothes out for tomorrow, because Jeet at our corner mini-mart has promised me I am the owner of the winning ticket.
But if tomorrow dawns and we find ourselves back at the work desk too depressed to do any work and in need some inspiration, feel free to pause in reflection with me on what resonated with Momservations readers in 2015:
- This was actually a top post in 2014 as well that regained popularity when Homecoming season hit in September. I’m pretty sure it was all teenagers looking for creative Homecoming proposals, but I like to think it’s the good writing that brings ‘em back: Danger of the Creative Homecoming Ask
- A popular radio morning show host in Sacramento loses his baby girl in utero the day she was supposed to be born, plus a son dealing with the loss of his mother (one of the Charleston prayer meeting parishioners) and saying goodbye to football legend Frank Gifford: Three Inspirational Stories That Will Make You Ugly Cry
- When the best advice is actually no advice at all: Best Damn Advice for Parents of High Schoolers
- Show me a teenage boy who picks up his things left around the house and I’ll show you a unicorn. A picture trail of teenage debris so frustrating you have to laugh or you’ll cry: Where Has Logan Been?
- And those frantic teenagers desperate for the perfect Homecoming Ask are back. I’m guessing this will come in handy again soon as the Sadie Hawkins dances approach this spring: How to Ask Someone to Homecoming
Good luck with the Powerball tonight—if no one wins it’ll be up to $2 billion! Regardless if you find yourself instantly on Forbes’ List Billionaires I hope you’ll still come along on this parenting journey with me.
Thanks for reading and please feel free to share Momservations with a friend! Sometimes a laugh, sometimes a cry, but always an opportunity throw your hands up and enjoy the ride.
Now let’s go see what 2016 has in store for us, shall we…
