Suffice it to say, there will be no mournful mixed tapes made in your memory to woefully sing along to what we once had. No \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2nXGPZaTKik\">Do You Really Want to Hurt Me<\/a>\u201d by Culture Club. No Crowded House&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=J9gKyRmic20\">Don&#8217;t Dream It&#8217;s Over<\/a>.&#8221; No Phil Collins reminding us the illusion of our happiness together last year was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7A8NgPVizP4\">Against All Odds<\/a>\u201d\u2014so take a look at me now, oh there\u2019s just an empty space and you coming back to me is against the odds and that\u2019s what I\u2019ve got to face.<\/p>\n<p>I hate you. I hate what you did to us. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=c0TghfreFok\">Didn&#8217;t We Almost Have it All<\/a>? But no, you said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KNIZofPB8ZM\">Don\u2019t Stand So Close to Me<\/a>. You shut us down. You threatened to kill Grandma and Grandpa if I didn\u2019t flatten the curve. You promised that we were on a break but instead we entered the highway to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=siwpn14IE7E\">Danger Zone.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since then I\u2019ve been<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lDK9QqIzhwk\"> Living on a Prayer<\/a>, binging on Netflix and hoarding toilet paper, wondering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wa3tfVjGCQ8\">Where Do Broken Hearts Go<\/a>\u2014we said we needed space but all we found was an empty place. And now I\u2019m afraid. Afraid to go out, afraid of parties, concerts, hugging, afraid of sharing drinks and if I\u2019ll ever be able to wear anything that doesn\u2019t have an elastic waist band again. I\u2019m at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rSaC-YbSDpo\">Borderline<\/a>\u2014feels like I\u2019m going to lose my mind.<\/p>\n<p>And now here we are a year later, you have some nerve showing back up again. But you know what? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=h0JvF9vpqx8\">Don\u2019t Come Around Here No More<\/a>\u2014whatever you\u2019re looking for, hey don\u2019t come around here no more. I\u2019ve given up, stop, on waiting any longer. I\u2019ve got a date with Corona Vaccine. After two shots plus two weeks, I\u2019ll be over you and ready to eat in restaurant again and touch a grocery cart handle without fear.<\/p>\n<p>So nice try, March. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZHwVBirqD2s\">I\u2019m Still Standing<\/a>\u2014better than I ever did, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid.
