Seems like a no-brainer to choose love over hate, compassion over intolerance, peace over violence, humanity over indifference, and goodness over evil.<\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a<\/h4>\n<h4>On this Good Friday it seemed appropriate that I should take my fuzzy angel for a walk in God\u2019s House:<\/h4>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17016\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/ARP3-480x640-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>It was the least I could do to thank Him and her for her companionship during my human experience. There is no better proof, to me, that God graces us with reminders of Heaven than the unconditional love of a beloved pet and the breathtaking beauty of nature.<\/h4>\n<h4><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17014\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/ARP2-480x640-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>Walking the wild flower and butterfly laden trails along the American River Parkway, spring exploding around us in a spectacular metaphor of rebirth, I listened to the hymns of my church:<\/h4>\n<h4><em>The wind singing through the oaks, ash, and cottonwoods; their fresh, vibrant green leaves quivering in the joy of their revival.<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><em>The swallows, wrens, and starlings whistling a chorus of amens with red-tailed hawks crying out their hallelujahs.<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><em>The comforting gurgling of the American River swollen with a life-sustaining bounty of seasonal rains joins the choir in homage to the spring resurrection.<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4>And here\u2019s what it sang:<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and see the beauty flowering around you<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-17017\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/ARP-480x640-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>not the weeds tangling your feet<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and hear the birds singing the day\u2019s praise<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>not the naysayers predicting your defeat<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and feel the wind pushing at your back<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>don\u2019t let the quicksand of fear hold you still<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and breathe in the sun\u2019s vibrant rays<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>don\u2019t stand in the shadows and catch rejection\u2019s chill<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and taste the joy of living<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>don\u2019t wrap yourself in a blanket of despair<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and grasp the low hanging fruit<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Take a bite and enjoy the journey that gets you there<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-17018\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Spring-480x640-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up child not down<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>for possibilities don\u2019t lie at your feet<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and around<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>to truly discover what makes you complete<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Look up and have faith<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Trust in the graces God will bring<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Don\u2019t let the weight of the unknown smother you<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Even Fall believes in the promise of Spring<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 KMW\u00a0 4\/17<\/h4>\n<h4>Happy Easter<\/h4>\n<h4>#Rejoice \u00a0#DrownOutTheIrrelevantVoices<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the message you will hear when you walk your dog down by the river?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":17018,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[2170],"tags":[924,2212,2213,2214,2215,2216,2217,2218,2219,2220,2221],"class_list":["post-17013","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-inspirational","tag-easter","tag-easter-devotional","tag-gods-house","tag-how-to-drown-out-negative-voices","tag-inspirational-easter-essay","tag-inspirational-essay","tag-inspirational-poem","tag-look-up-not-down","tag-love-of-nature","tag-love-of-pets","tag-unconvential-churches"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Look Up, He Said - Kelli M.
