So I\u2019m always looking for the sweet spots in life to remind me that there is more good out there than bad.<\/p>\n<p>Things like:<\/p>\n<p>\u2026a cool breeze on a warm summer day.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasice.com\/cool-promos\/alexs-lemonade-stand\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-14308\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/ritas-and-alex-1-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"ritas and alex\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2026catching butterflies with your kids.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026seeing a stranger help an elderly person put groceries in their car.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026eating dinner together as a family and laughing at dumb jokes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026a front yard lemonade stand staffed by neighborhood kids.<\/p>\n<p>When you shift your focus this way, the world lights up with all the sweet, wonderful things happening around us if we just look for it.<\/p>\n<p>One of those sweet spots I recently discovered was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexslemonade.org\/\">Alex&#8217;s Lemonade Stand Foundation<\/a> supported by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasice.com\/\">Rita\u2019s Italian Ice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Rita\u2019s became a proud corporate partner of Alex\u2019s, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for all childhood cancers. Named in honor of the late <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexslemonade.org\/about\/meet-alex\">Alexandra \u201cAlex\u201d Scott,<\/a> the Foundation has raised more than $75 million toward fulfilling Alex\u2019s dream of finding a cure, funding over 375 research projects nationally.<\/p>\n<p>Though Alex lost her fight with cancer, by deciding to make \u201clemonade out of lemons\u201d she inspired tens of thousands of people to sell lemonade in her honor to fund the fight against childhood cancers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/https:\/\/youtu.be\/9PSSuFQ48e0\">http:\/\/https:\/\/youtu.be\/9PSSuFQ48e0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A sick child thinking of other sick children instead of herself starting an amazing movement with a front yard lemonade stand\u2014now that\u2019s one of life\u2019s sweet spots!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasice.com\/cool-promos\/alexs-lemonade-stand\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-14305\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/ritasice3-640x549-300x257.jpg\" alt=\"ritasice3 (640x549)\" width=\"300\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a>It also inspired me to want to help. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasfranchises.com\/stores\/store.cfm\/Folsom%20CA-95630\/store\/3775\">Rita\u2019s<\/a> made it easy as my family was visiting their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasfranchises.com\/stores\/store.cfm\/Folsom%20CA-95630\/store\/3775\">Folsom location<\/a> to try that week\u2019s all-natural frozen drink (Florida Orange \u2013 yum!):<\/p>\n<p>Each <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ritasice.com\/\">Rita&#8217;s<\/a> location sells paper lemons to Rita\u2019s guests for $1 each. Each Rita\u2019s Guest is able to personalize his\/her lemon and then post it on the store\u2019s \u201cWall of Hope\u201d to demonstrate the local community\u2019s collective support. And did you know that over the past ten years, Rita\u2019s has collectively raised more than $4.2 million for pediatric cancer research?
