The children have headed back to school<\/p>\n

After a week of Spring Break fun<\/p>\n

Who\u2019s going to clean up this post Easter mess?<\/p>\n

Looks like stay-at-home mom is the one.<\/p>\n

\"iphone<\/p>\n

\n

\n

But if I\u2019m left to put this house<\/p>\n

Into the order it was before<\/p>\n

I think I should be rewarded<\/p>\n

With some holiday candy for my chore.<\/p>\n

Dozens of opened plastic eggs<\/p>\n

Reunited with their other half?<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019ll cost two dozen jelly beans!\u201d<\/p>\n

I scarf up as I laugh.<\/p>\n

Spilled bubbles and chocolate finger prints<\/p>\n

Left for Mommy to wipe up?<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo Cadbury eggs and four Peeps!\u201d\"Easter3\"<\/p>\n

That should be enough.<\/p>\n

Green and pink Easter grass<\/p>\n

Plastic strands disabling my vacuum?<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy not a peanut butter chocolate egg?\u201d<\/p>\n

Found stashed in someone\u2019s room.<\/p>\n

\"Easter5\"Sweeping up colorful foil wrappers and Nerds<\/p>\n

Scattered pebble candy playing hide and seek?<\/p>\n

\u201cA half dozen or so speckled malted eggs!\u201d<\/p>\n

They won\u2019t notice for a week.<\/p>\n

\n

\n

Wet bathing suits and towels<\/p>\n

Easter dress and slacks discarded on the floor?<\/p>\n

\u201cSeven chocolate crunch bunnies and eggs!\u201d<\/p>\n

Plus maybe a few more.<\/p>\n

Baskets shelved, decorations taken down<\/p>\n

Easter stored away and through with it?<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ears off two giant chocolate bunnies!\u201d\"Easter2\"<\/p>\n

I think that should do it.<\/p>\n

But as I reach for some Tums<\/p>\n

Suddenly groaning in distress<\/p>\n

\u201cCome Halloween, Lord help me,\u201d I say,<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they don\u2019t clean up their mess.\u201d<\/p>\n
