Just as we\u2019ve taught them to always say \u201cplease\u201d and \u201cthank you,\u201d chew with your mouth closed, flush and wash your hands after using the bathroom, treat others the way you want to be treated, and nobody likes a biter\u2014getting our children to indoctrinate being online savvy and not online idiots should be a core value.<\/p>\n<p>But then (as with all important lessons in life), we, as parents, should be modeling the behavior and values we hope to instill.<\/p>\n<p>So I ask you parents:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><em>What does your digital footprint look like?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">After reading my Momservations\u00ae blogs, <a href=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/parenting-in-the-digital-age\/\">Parenting in the Digital Age<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/writing-the-rule-book-on-parenting-in-the-digital-a\">Writing the Rule Book on Parenting in the Digital Age<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/the-most-important-thing-teens-can-do-to-keep-their-options-open\/\">The Most Important Thing Teens Can Do to Keep Their Options Open<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlehop.com\/\">SingleHop.com<\/a> ,\u00a0a private cloud hosting site, challenged me to take a social media quiz to see what my digital footprint looked like. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlehop.com\/private-cloud-hosting\/\">Private cloud hosting<\/a> not only helps you to manage your digital footprint but also insures the security and accessibility of the data you store.<\/p>\n<p>I did okay (21 points) taking into consideration that I\u2019m a blogger\/writer who allows a public profile. I am also diligent about what I post because I don\u2019t want to lose clients or potential clients as a freelance writer. But I do admit that it\u2019s a little scary how much personal information can be found out about me by Googling my name.<\/p>\n<p>So, for February\u2019s <strong>Data Privacy Month<\/strong> try taking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlehop.com\/\">SingleHop.com<\/a>\u2019s quiz to see if you\u2019re being a good digital role model for your kids. Have your kids take the quiz.
