{"id":13486,"date":"2014-12-30T11:44:52","date_gmt":"2014-12-30T19:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.momservations.com\/?p=13486"},"modified":"2014-12-30T11:44:52","modified_gmt":"2014-12-30T19:44:52","slug":"the-best-of-momservations-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/momservations.com\/index.php\/2014\/12\/30\/the-best-of-momservations-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"The Best of Momservations 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Momservation: <\/strong>A New Year\u2019s resolution is good in theory the way pizza dipped in Ranch is good for the thighs (and, unfortunately, I will still do both).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a<\/p>\n<p>Well, it\u2019s another year and another failed nomination for Mother of the Year. But I do believe I was successful in my prayer of doing more good than harm in raising my children and I haven\u2019t been called to be a guest on Dr. Phil, Jerry Springer, or Nancy Grace so I must be doing something right.<\/p>\n<p>And like a good wine, I seem to be getting better with age. Out of my Top 5 Momservations Blogs for 2014 four out five were written in the last quarter of this year. But even more importantly, I haven\u2019t fatally embarrassed my children with my parenting musings and they generally still think I\u2019m pretty great (an amazing feat with teenagers!).<\/p>\n<p>As 2014 leaves the building and 2015 dawns with renewed optimism and possibilities, I invite you to pause in reflection with me on what resonated with Momservations readers:<\/p>\n<p>1. A high school friend still acquainted through Facebook tragically loses her high school aged son to suicide: <a href=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/facebook-a-suprising-life-ring-in-a-mothers-ocean-of-grief\/\"><strong>Facebook: A Surprising Life Ring in a Mother\u2019s Ocean of Grief<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/facebook-a-suprising-life-ring-in-a-mothers-ocean-of-grief\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-13275\" src=\"https:\/\/momservations.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Wyatt-Bredell-292x300.jpg\" alt=\"Wyatt Bredell\" width=\"292\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>2.
