No, not homeless encampments! No, not Occupy Bob\u2019s Big Boy!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s something positive, and shiny, and adorable, and refreshing!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/2013\/07\/23\/5589075\/sacramento-girls-little-book-of.html\">Isabelle and Isabella<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>The pint-size authors of such valuable gems of wisdom like \u201cColor on paper, not on people\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t bite the dentist\u201d are kicking off their book tour at our local Hallmark store!<\/p>\n<p>At precocious ages of eight and ten, Isabella and Isabelle, Sacramento area cousins, are having their very first book signing for their serendipitous book, <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.walmart.com\/ip\/23780731?wmlspartner=wlpa&amp;selectedSellerId=3&amp;adid=22222222227018490003&amp;wl0=&amp;wl1=g&amp;wl2=c&amp;wl3=26353364316&amp;wl4=&amp;wl5=pla&amp;wl6=51707551836&amp;veh=sem\">Little Book of Rules<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>It will be at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/caseys-hallmark-sacramento\">Casey\u2019s Hallmark, 4379 Arden Way <\/a>(Arden and Eastern), this <strong>Saturday, October 5 from 1 to 3 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Isabelle and Isabella became local celebrities early this year when they lost a journal that they had busily been filling up with important rules for living life well.<\/p>\n<p>Rules like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep your friend\u2019s secrets<\/li>\n<li>Eat whatever your mom makes for dinner and don\u2019t complain.<\/li>\n<li>Go to sleep early if you have soccer practice in the morning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When a Walmart employee found the journal filled with simple, practical, and funny common sense rules written in juvenile handwriting he took it to the media to try to reunite the adorable musings with its owner.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12301\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12301\" style=\"width: 252px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/198.23.108.118\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/little-book-of-rules2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12301\" alt=\"Image courtesy of SacBee\" src=\"http:\/\/198.23.108.118\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/little-book-of-rules2.jpg\" width=\"252\" height=\"164\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12301\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image courtesy of SacBee<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The feel-good story went viral and not only did Isabella, 8, and Isabelle, 10, get back their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barnesandnoble.com\/w\/isabelle-isabellas-little-book-of-rules-isabelle-busath\/1116073555?cm_mmc=googlepla-_-book_5to14-_-q000000633-_-9781442499805&amp;cm_mmca2=pla&amp;ean=9781442499805&amp;isbn=9781442499805&amp;r=1\">Little Book of Rules<\/a>, they landed on <a href=\"http:\/\/gma.yahoo.com\/\">Good Morning America <\/a>and secured a book deal with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simonandschuster.com\/\">Simon and Schuster.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>My kids and I will be there Saturday to support Isabelle and Isabella for a number of reasons:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For the purity of their message to try and be a good person.<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To show them we value what they are proud of. The best part for Isabella? \u201cNow everyone will get to see our hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Because they didn\u2019t become national celebrities for ridiculous, trivial, or inane stunts on social media. They became celebrities for something worth celebrating: good values.<\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Because their parents aren\u2019t exploiting them. My understanding is that they are keeping the book tour small and mostly local so it doesn\u2019t disrupt the girls\u2019 lives and they can keep being normal kids.<\/p>\n<p>5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hallmark.com\/\">Casey\u2019s Hallmark <\/a>is dear to my heart\u2014I love the people there like Karen the manager and my biggest fan, and Carol my octogenarian second grandmother who lights up whenever I walk in.
