Momservation: <\/b>It\u2019s not the day job you do but the hugs and kisses you give each night that really matter to your children.<\/p>\n

\u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a<\/p>\n

Like the actor who says what he really wants to do is direct, I too harbor a greater passion (second of course to my family\u2014cheeseheads though they can be).<\/p>\n

For the last two years I have been working on a manuscript. After countless hours of loving, hating, obsessing, neglecting, weeping with joy and sorrow, flip-flopping between conviction and serious doubt over this project (is this a new relationship or a book?) I am ready to release the book I\u2019ve been working on to the world.<\/p>\n

I really hope you don\u2019t throw tomatoes at me.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow night, Wednesday, Feb. 6, I will be a featured writer invited by the Sacramento Bee<\/a>\u2019s online community, SacramentoConnect.com<\/a>, to share my work. I will be reading a chapter from my narrative nonfiction, AN ANGEL FOR HEAVEN, A True Story of a Guardian Angel<\/strong>. It is a compelling story of perseverance, transcending love, and finding the courage to be the person you are destined to be.<\/p>\n

Finally letting go of this project and allowing it to go out into the world makes me feel like I\u2019ve just found myself butt-naked giving a speech at Sleep Train Arena<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But writing this book has been a 20-year odyssey that I have never given up on. As vulnerable as it makes me feel to release this \u201cbaby\u201d into the world, it is a story I believe with all my heart needs to be told and will inspire others to believe that those we love are always with us.<\/p>\n

After the featured bloggers, attendees are invited to read their own short pieces (2-4 minutes) during the open mic portion.
