Like we need any excuse to eat ice cream around here.<\/p>\n<p>But it was hot. Kids were bored and whiny. I needed a diversion.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to my friends at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshandeasy.com\/\">\u00a0Fresh &amp; Easy<\/a> they wanted to help in the form of an ice cream social.<\/p>\n<p>Say no more. You had me at Orange Cream.<\/p>\n<p>So I had the kids text\/call their friends to see if they wanted to help us eat ice cream. \u201cHeck yeah\u201d seemed to be the popular answer and suddenly we had a party.<a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/011.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-11802\" title=\"011\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/011.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/018.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-11801\" title=\"018\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/018.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>I shot over to the new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshandeasy.com\/\">Fresh &amp; Easy<\/a> that opened around the corner from us (2540 Watt &amp; El Camino, Sacramento) armed with a gift card. They had lots of popular brands to choose from, nearly 40 different flavors, but we went with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshandeasy.com\/\">Fresh &amp; Easy<\/a> brand because brand products never contain high-fructose corn syrup, added trans fats, artificial colors or flavors and only use preservatives when absolutely necessary. Perfect for my daughter\u2019s sensitivity to high fructose corn syrup.<a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/006.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-11798\" title=\"006\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/006.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-11800\" title=\"024\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/07\/024.jpg?w=150\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a>The kids picked out Mint Chocolate Chip, Vanilla (since <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshandeasy.com\/\">Fresh and Easy<\/a> supplied us with Magic Shell, sprinkles, dried cherries, almonds and chocolate cream cookies as toppings), Chocolate, Cookies and Cream \u2013 and of course I picked out Orange Cream. Five half-gallon flavors for under $25.<\/p>\n<p>It was easy. It was delicious. It was fun. I was a hero.
