My favorite cheeseheads being cheesy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Listening to my kids in the back seat cracks me up. We\u2019ve been doing a lot of driving this summer so there\u2019s been a lot of laughing.<\/p>\n

There was this gem from Whitney, age 11:<\/p>\n

\u201cBritish accents are so cool. If I had a British accent I would never stop talking.\u201d<\/p>\n

To which Hubby replied, \u201cAnd we\u2019re all glad you don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then there was the time the kids were horsing around and Logan, 12, bumped his elbow.<\/p>\n

\u201cOw! I hit my elbow so hard it\u2019s ringing! Man, it won\u2019t quit ringing! I better answer it. Hello? Elbow? Are you okay?\u201d<\/p>\n

On another road trip Whitney mused, \u201cDo you think anyone ever robs a pizza place for the pizzas?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t just have pizzas lying around, Cheesehead,\u201d her brother, Logan, retorted.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, then I\u2019d break in and make pizzas and stay there all night eating them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are too cheesy,\u201d said Logan, 12, rolling his eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re the cheesiest,\u201d shot back Whitney. \u201cYou\u2019re so cheesy, you\u2019re King Cheese.\u201d<\/p>\n

And then, henceforth, everything in the backseat conversations was topped with cheese.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s cheesetastic!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re cheesilicious!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a cheese-whaz!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cQuit cheesing me!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cScoot the cheese over, you\u2019re crowding me!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get your cheese in a wad!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I gotta cheese.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the cheese was that?!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cEw, roll down the window – you cheesed it up in here!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCheese me, you\u2019re on my pillow.\u201d<\/p>\n

When we finally got out of the car to stop for pizza, we asked the kids what kind of topping they wanted.<\/p>\n

Before I knew what I was saying, I turned from the cashier and called, \u201cYou Cheeseheads want cheese pizza?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo! Pepperoni!\u201d they called in unison.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the cheese? Are you King Cheeses afraid of being cannibals?\u201d I teased.<\/p>\n

When I turned back to the cashier, the ohhhh-kaaaay look on her face told me that our backseat humor did not translate.<\/p>\n

As we walked away after paying, I whispered to Hubby, \u201cGeez, who cheesed in her Cheerios?\u201d<\/p>\n
