Talking to other moms it always amazes me when I come across those who say they find doing laundry relaxing and satisfying.<\/p>\n

A massage is relaxing and satisfying.<\/p>\n

A mani\/pedi is relaxing and satisfying.<\/p>\n

A good cup of coffee is relaxing and satisfying.<\/p>\n

Watching a movie with Zach Ephron<\/a> is relaxing and satisfying (and incredibly hot).<\/p>\n

Doing laundry is futile and stinky and boring and disgusting when your family won\u2019t turn their nasty socks right side out or think that skid marks just magically disappear.<\/p>\n

I can think of SO many other things I\u2019d rather be doing than laundry. Like getting a root canal.<\/p>\n

So on this Laundry Tuesday, to try to transport myself to this mystical state of dirty clothes washing being relaxing and satisfying I decided to link popular fortune cookie sayings with doing laundry. Like adding \u201cin bed\u201d to the end of a fortune cookie message, I thought by adding \u201cwhen laundry is done\u201d I would find the hope I needed to get through this mundane and exasperating task I\u2019ve been relegated to as Mom. Here goes:<\/p>\n
