{"id":11422,"date":"2011-07-05T17:00:08","date_gmt":"2011-07-06T00:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/momservations.wordpress.com\/?p=11422"},"modified":"2011-07-05T17:00:08","modified_gmt":"2011-07-06T00:00:08","slug":"fun-tired","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/momservations.com\/index.php\/2011\/07\/05\/fun-tired\/","title":{"rendered":"Fun Tired"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Momservation: <\/strong>If you think hangovers are for adults who partied too hard, you haven&#8217;t seen a kid wiped out after a crazy fun 4th of July weekend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">\u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u263a<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left;\" align=\"center\">In our house there\u2019s a rule that you can\u2019t complain about being fun-tired. No one has any sympathy for someone who\u2019s exhausted from the act of recreation, leisure, playing, or partying.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Came back from <a href=\"http:\/\/disneyland.disney.go.com\/\">Disneyland<\/a> and you\u2019re wiped out? Sorry, no whiners. Fun tired.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Had a sleep-over, ate too much, and stayed up all night? Quit complaining. Fun tired.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Brought the kids to the beach for the day and you\u2019re drained? Suck it up. Fun tired.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So, for the record, I\u2019m not whining, complaining or looking for sympathy. I am tired, cranky, wiped out and ready for bed \u2013 but I\u2019m owning it. I did this to myself:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Had our annual Hubby\u2019s bday\/pre-4<sup>th<\/sup> of July party complete with a pool full of kids ages 8 months to 14 years, BBQ, games and fireworks show at dusk. Fell into bed with a smile on my face<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11423\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11423\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/4thjuly2011-7tf2s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11423 \" title=\"4thJuly2011-7Tf2S\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/4thjuly2011-7tf2s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11423\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hubby&#039;s bday\/4th of July party gang taking a momentary break from swimming, eating, drinking and merry making before fireworks (photo by Ron Silveira)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Climbed out of bed the next morning trying to think festive thoughts for the neighborhood 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July of parade followed by games at the park. Narrowly lost the 3-legged race with my son. Almost fell asleep in my chair toward the end, but I was smiling on the inside.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11425\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11425\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/quinn-and-logan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11425\" title=\"Quinn and Logan\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/quinn-and-logan.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"821\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11425\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Logan and his biggest fan, Quinn, hangin&#039; poolside<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Left there to go catch the big fireworks show at the river. At this point my kids we\u2019re fading, complaining about the hike, carrying their chairs, how much further and I finally snapped, \u201cFine! You Negative Nelly\u2019s can drop your chairs right here, but I\u2019m going to watch the fireworks show up ahead with an unobstructed view and <em>I\u2019m <\/em>going to have a good time!\u201d I also reminded them that I had the mosquito spray and it was coming with me.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11426\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11426\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/fireworks-show.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11426\" title=\"Fireworks show\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/fireworks-show.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11426\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Getting ready for the pre-4th of July fireworks show<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Today is Hubby\u2019s actual birthday and we are trying hard to make it a special day, but honestly, we\u2019re all gassed. We decided to give him a nap for his birthday and try it out with him. When we wake up we\u2019ll sing a feeble Happy Birthday, shovel in some cake and then stagger back to bed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11427\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11427\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/trey-and-darby.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11427\" title=\"Trey and Darby\" src=\"http:\/\/momservations.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/trey-and-darby.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"748\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11427\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Trey and Darby - even our high energy Lab was fun tired<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But I\u2019m not complaining. No siree bob. Had a great, fun-filled 4<sup>th<\/sup> of July weekend.
